Transportation

Pescara Airport has direct flights from Toronto and London via RyanAir and Air Transat. Other national airlines fly regularly into Rome which is an easy 3 hour bus ride due east to Vasto. Di Fonzo has information on their website if you're interested in coming from Rome.

Reaching The Airport

Abruzzo Airport is located at about 3 km from the centre of Pescara, on the border between Pescara and San Giovanni Teatino, right on the “Strada Statale Tiburtina”. 

BY TAXI
Taxis are in front of the air terminal Airport – downtown Pescara: 10 minutes; At the flight arrival you’ll find taxis, otherwise make a call: Phone: 085 35155 TAXI

BY TRAIN
The train from Pescara Centrale (the main train station, minutes from the airport) has frequent service to Vasto. You can easily check online to see the current prices and schedule.

From Pescara Centre to Pescara Airport: coach n. 38 departing every 15 minutes from Pescara Railway Station. Single trip: 1,00 eur. From Pescara Airport terminal to Pescara Centre: coach n. 38 departing every 15 minutes from the terminal. Tickets sold at the automatic machine in the terminal arrivals area. The airport is connected to the center of Pescara (railway station) and Chieti by bus company ARPA with “Pescara-Chieti” line. With this bus you can reach also the university, "G. D'Annunzio" in Chieti Scalo. The ARPA bus stop is in Via Tiburtina
Valeria (SS 5) in front of the exit of the airport parking. Early in the morning, for the first flights, we suggest you get to the airport by ARPA bus: first bus arrives in front of the airport around 5.00/5.15 (both starting from Chieti or Pescara - service only on weekdays) the last bus passes at the airport (everyday) about at 11.30p.m. from Chieti and until after midnight from Pescara. ARPA tickets are also sold on board.

BY CAR
Coming from Rome: from the highway A25 Rome-Pescara, take the “Chieti-Pescara” exit and then follow the “asse attrezzato” freeway in direction Pescara. Take the “Sambuceto-Aeroporto” exit and follow the indications to the airport.

Coming from Bologna-Ancona-Bari: from the highway A14, take the “Pescara Ovest-Chieti” exit, turn right (twice) and follow the Tiburtina road with direction Pescara, after 2 km you will find Abruzzo Airport on your left. GPS: 42° 25' 42'' N, 14° 11' 15'' E
